The following instructions will guide you through the installation of ArcGIS Pro. For instructions on how to install ArcGIS Desktop (aka ArcMap), refer to these instructions instead.
To complete the installation, you will need:
- An ArcGIS Authorization Number
- An ArcGIS Pro Provisioning File
You can order these from our Service Catalog (note there are separate licenses for students and employees). You'll receive an email with everything you need to complete the install.
Before you install or renew
- Visit the ArcGIS for Desktop site to activate your Authorization Number for ArcGIS software. You must do this before installing ArcGIS; otherwise, ArcGIS will fail to install properly.
- Click the button to login using your existing Esri Account or, if necessary, sign-up for a new Esri Account.
- Enter your Authorization Number and click "Activate ArcGIS".
- In the next window, select the version of ArcGIS Pro that you'd like to install.
- In the next window you are presented with instructions on how to download ArcGIS Pro.
