Installing Mathematica for the first time

  1. Login to the Wolfram User Portal using your UCInetID@uci.edu email address. You can create an account for free if you don't already have one.
  2. Specify your Department from the pulldown menu. If yours isn't listed, choose Other and enter it in the field.
  3. Select the product "Mathematica for Sites" and select Submit.
  4. Follow the steps on the next page to begin the download. The software will come with a key allowing its use for a limited period of time (15 days). Within a couple of days you'll receive an email with instructions on how to activate a key that will work through July of the following year.

NOTE: Home-use is permitted for faculty & staff members. Please complete the on-line Home-Use Form *after* completing the steps above.
